Baldur’s Gate: Beregost Revisited

Baldur’s Gate Walkthrough Recap

The Adventures of Alysin in Baldur’s Gate has her and her party return to Beregost.

Beregost Revisited, Part 1

Upon arriving in Beregost, we headed to the Jovial Juggler and met Officer Vai, who wanted us to handle the bandit situation. She offered a reward in exchange for delivering bandit scalps.

We met Mirianne and gave her news of her husband.

We met the old man, Elminster, that we met on the way to Friendly Arm Inn again and he introduced himself but otherwise didn’t have much to say.

We began travelling back south and encountered gibberlings, ghouls, and hobgoblins.

Beregost Revisited, Part 2

Heading back to town we confronted Tranzig in Feldepost’s Inn. (We learned he is working for Tazok from Mulahey’s letters.) He didn’t surrender peacefully. We found a letter on his body that told us two probable locations of Tazok and the bandits’ next raid. From there we can track them back to their camp.

We were attacked by another Bounty Hunter, Karlat, at Red Sheaf. After we dealt with that, we talked to Raleo Windspear about Beregost. He mentioned the Ulcaster School Ruins to the southeast of town.

Oogie Wisham at the Jovial Juggler really doesn’t like Bjornin. At first we were concerned that Bjornin had done something to hurt or upset him, but that doesn’t seem to to be the case and there was nothing we could do to calm him down. We talked to Bjornin, ourselves, and he seemed very  nice. He mentioned he was recovering from an attack by half-ogres to the southwest.

Again, we headed south and encountered ghouls and hobgoblins. We came across a cave filled with rats and a chest with some coins and healing potions.

In the next session of my Baldur’s Gate walkthrough I will briefly abandon my quest to rescue Dynaheir to take on the half-ogres for Bjornin.
