My Review of Splice

Splice is a puzzle game that gives you some cells and requires you to rearrange them into a target pattern using as few “splices” (or moves) as possible.

Each puzzle allows a specific number of splices before it is exhausted. Some puzzles can be solved with fewer moves than allowed, the angelic solution.

The interface is minimal and the game gives you very little instruction on how to play. The puzzles do start out fairly simply but this can still be daunting to some.

Some puzzles and Angelic solutions are hard. I was unable to complete many without some help. I used this guide for Splice by TroLL.

If you persevere on a stubborn puzzle, just the repetition of the music you first thought was beautiful, becomes irritating, frustrating you further.

In conclusion, Splice is a beautiful game but it is not for causal players.
